About

My photography stems back to when my father raced his cars at Mosport Park and I would race around from corner to corner trying to get shots of him with an Kodak Instamatic camera. Since then photography has been a passion over the many years. Photography is one of those genere where it is a continuing learning path and you never ever become a total expert in the field. With ever changing techniques, software tools and equipment it is truly a never ending field and yet I still learn something new everyday.

My journey has taken me over several paths from portrait, street, wildlife and landscape photography to name a few. Six years ago I started a photography club at the Dundas Museum called DPI – Dundas Photography Initiative. Our members have all levels of skill from basic to professional. Once a year we set up two studios to photograph folks who are in need who cannot afford to have professional photos taken. The members learn lighting, posing and cameras so overall it is a win win scenario.  We also print the photos for them all for free. Giving back to the community is important to the members of DPI.

My travels have taken me to many locations around the world to capture images. Weather is always a concern but some of the best locations are in inclement weather. However some photos present themselves without any effort and others require treks into the interior to get the most of the location.
